You will have comprehensive training throughout your orientation, with ongoing learning and development. This includes:
- Specialist training opportunities
- Buddy shifts with CPA’s experienced Disability Support Workers
- Opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support and/or a Certificate IV in Disability.
- We invest $5,000 in training in your first year
We currently have permanent positions in Terrey Hills and other suburbs within the Northern Beaches. We can consider local candidates to the Northern Beaches and North Shore region.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering personalised support in a group home setting by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administrating medication and manual handling
- Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent
- Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community
- Building positive relationships with our clients
- Transporting clients, using CPA minivan, if applicable
Requirements
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 minimum) is preferred
- Live locally to the locations mentioned above
