Job Description Summary:
This position reports to the Director of the Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth at the University of Kansas Medical Center and will support Project ECHO (Extension of Community Healthcare Outcomes) activities/projects in KUMC. Project ECHO uses videoconferencing to link specialist teams at KUMC with primary care practices across the region. Healthcare providers earn continuing education credit for participation in case-based learning approach. The Distance Learning Assistant works with the Director of Telemedicine to plan and implement telehealth and Project ECHO activities across existing priority areas (e.g., behavioral health, health equity) as well as extending ECHO to new areas. The Distance Learning Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting project managers and coordinators in planning, implementing, and the success of our ECHO series, ensuring seamless coordination and support for both team members and participants.
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $25.96 – $26.92 hourly.
Work location: This position will work in-office, with some consideration of hybrid (in-office/remote) after the probationary period.

Required Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in related field.
Work Experience:

Two years of relevant work experience.

Experience with Zoom.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Work Experience: Knowledge or prior experience with Project ECHO.
Job Duties Outlined:

Prepare and communicate scheduling specifications for ECHO series planning and implementation.

Prepare folders, slideshows, agendas, and other documents from templates for ECHO sessions. Create, share, and collaborate on files and folders in shared drives and Teams. Update and proof PowerPoint slideshows, and hyperlink resources in ECHO Digital Resource Libraries in PowerPoint and Word.

Prepare and submit requests for continuing education accreditation.

Manage resource-sharing channels for ECHO series. Update Digital Resource Library and Response Center documents after each ECHO session. Update documents and links in iECHO. Provide basic technical support to team and attendees during ECHO sessions on Zoom. Test connections, rename attendees, and troubleshoot issues.

Maintain ECHO planning and speaker records in REDCap by entering speaker and planning team data, proofreading and checking forms and records for accuracy/fidelity, and correcting and relaying issues and errors in REDCap forms.

Coordinate mailings. Send ECHO signage; send resource kits; organize speaker, specialty team, and plan team member addresses for other mailings (i.e., holiday cards).

Collaborate with other ECHO and KUCTT team members on ensuring successful ECHO series development and implementation.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
