Distribution & Communications Officer (m/f) – focus on the Spanish-speaking market

ARTE continues to roll out its European development strategy and now intends to strengthen the Europe-wide distribution of its digital offerings (cultural, factual, news and cinema), in particular on mobile apps and Smart TVs. ARTE’s offering is available throughout Europe in 6 languages (English, Spanish, Polish and Italian, in addition to French and German) on all of the Channel’s digital platforms. This has been made possible thanks to European co-financing arrangements.
In this context, ARTE is looking for a Distribution and Communications Officer for the Spanish-speaking market.

Your duties

  • Identify growth drivers for ARTE’s digital offering in Spain with the relevant teams.
  • Set up and monitor partnerships with contacts Spanish-speaking contacts.
  • Make the link with the Spanish press agency around the highlights offered by ARTE.
  • Check the relevant web portals to ensure their coverage optimises ARTE’s presence in Spain.
  • Tailor communications and distribution texts to the Spanish-speaking market.
  • Occasional editing, translation and language checking in Spanish.
  • Monitor developments in Spain and contribute to reporting.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the Spanish-speaking market.
  • You are passionate about digital and alive to editorial issues.
  • Proactive and creative, you are used to coming forward with ideas.
  • You fit in seamlessly as part of a multicultural team.
  • You have a good general knowledge.


Your profile

  • Master’s degree, ideally in marketing, communication or the audiovisual sector.
  • Professional experience in the distribution of digital products.
  • Perfect command of Spanish. Good knowledge of English and French and/or German desirable.
  • Very good knowledge of the VOD platform ecosystem and, more generally, of the Spanish audiovisual landscape.


ARTE in Strasbourg offers you:
An 18-month full-time fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible within the European Development Department.
