About the Organisation

The Fred Hollows Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit, politically unaligned, and secular international development organisation. They work in more than 25 countries to help train and empower local eye doctors, nurses and health workers to create a sustainable system of care in the communities that need it most. They also provide equipment, fund research, and support advocacy to improve eye health.

About the Role and Responsibilities

The Donations and Database coordinator is responsible for the management of the Supporter database (Raiser’s Edge), processing donations and delivering first-class customer care to the foundation’s supporters, stakeholders and internal teams by providing insights.

Your day will include:

  • Process and sort donations that come via phone or mail
  • Assist with the efficiency of the database – Raiser’s Edge including assisting with the integrity of data
  • Respond to supporters’ enquiries and feedback by phone, email and mail
  • Import and maintain data on the database – Raisers Edge
  • Assist with the reconciliation of donation income
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues that could arise, including website or payment gateways

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role
  • First-class verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and previous experience in Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM
  • Experience in high volume data entry role
  • The ability to work as part of a close-knit team, with the skills to work autonomously when needed
  • Excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills, without losing attention to detail
  • Confident, enthusiastic, empathetic and professional
  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a National Police Check (PC) and Working With Children’s Check (WWCC).
