The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Oxford Brookes University are seeking a Drama Technician to provide support to students studying our Drama, Theatre and Acting programme by demonstrating use of equipment and techniques and assisting and advising on productions. The Drama technician is the first line of contact in ensuring the Drama studio is maintained to a high standard and ensuring safety of staff and students. You will join a strong team who work closely together, and play an integral part in supporting students through their training as well as contributing to the realisation of exciting theatre projects with a range of different focuses.
This post is being offered initially as a 2 year fixed term contract which will be reviewed near the end of the term for a possible extension. The role is part time at 0.5 FTE which is the equivalent of 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days). The role will suit someone willing to work their hours flexibly around timetabled teaching and support requests.

This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the points-based immigration system, however, applications are welcome from candidates who don’t currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.
