Driver

Overall Purpose: 

The driver oversees driving a PUI vehicle following all the security rules involved, as well as the maintenance and the cleanliness of the vehicle.

Responsibilities and scope of duties:

• Ensure movement of PUI staff and PUI materials for the base needs.
• Ensure the good management of his vehicle under the supervision of the Logistics Manager
• Assist the Logistics Department in procurement tasks as needed.

Specific goals and related activities:

• Drives the vehicle for transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of equipment, stores, documents, and any other items as required.
• Responsible for looking after the allocated duty vehicle/s including all daily maintenance checks, mileage, and fuel usage records and ensuring regular and timely services are conducted.
• Ensure vehicles are prepared daily for deployment including the necessary tool kits, communication and satellite tracking checks.
• Responsible for ensuring that all passengers are wearing safety belts.
• Maintains daily vehicle logs, and provides inputs to the preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports;
• Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents.

• Ensure that the driving rules of the Government of Iraq are adhered to.
• Report all accidents and incidents involving driver’s or PUI ’s equipment.
• Meet all PUI ’s requirements as outlined in the vehicle policy.
• Be ready for traveling outside Erbil , if this is requested by Line Manager.

Logistics Department Support

• Obtain quotations and other documents as requested by the logistics manager.
• Collect and deliver supplies as necessary.
• Ensure that all deliveries received match orders and are damage-free.

• Maintain proper filling of all documents (hard and soft), procurement documents, and vouchers in collaboration with the Logistic Manager.

• Responsible for assisting & performing any other duties as required by line supervisor.
