Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

The Driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for all SHO staff based in or visiting Mosul. The role requires full adherence to SHO’s transport, safety, and vehicle maintenance procedures. The Driver is responsible for the safety of passengers, daily vehicle checks, cleanliness, fueling, and ensuring vehicles are in roadworthy condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive SHO staff to various work-related destinations in Mosul and other approved locations as required.

• Follow all local traffic laws and SHO’s transport and safety policies.

• Conduct daily checks on the assigned vehicle, including:

  • Tire pressure, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, and water levels.

  • Safety tools such as first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and spare tire.

• Keep the vehicle clean and organized, inside and out.

• Ensure the vehicle is fueled and ready before any scheduled trips.

• Record trip details, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents in the vehicle logbook accurately.

• Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor and support follow-up procedures.

• Take necessary precautions in case of emergencies to ensure the safety of passengers and the vehicle.

• Always follow SHO’s security and safety protocols when traveling.

• Provide logistical support when requested (e.g. transporting goods or official documents).

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Other requirements:

• A valid Commercial Driving License (إجازة عمومية).
