The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit a three (03) dynamic and experienced Drivers to ensure quality financial and administrative management for the “Enhancing Agricultural Recovery and Combatting Malnutrition in Drought-Affected Southern Madagascar Utilizing Nutritious, Climate-Resilient Vitamin A Sweet potato“ BHA project in Madagascar.
The Position: This position will be hosted by AfricaRice in Madagascar, on behalf of the International Potato Center. The selected candidates will be based in Atsimo andrefana, Androy and Anosy, Madagascar and will report to the Finance and Administrative Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drives officials, staff and guest to meetings, airport transfer, field missions, local and out of Delhi by ensuring punctuality and saving driving practices.
- Ensure the vehicle maintenance and cleaning by giving regular/day to day maintenance checks. Properly maintain log-book and other vehicle documents.
- Assist office staff in making photocopying, printing, scanning and maintaining stores when required.
- Provide support in submitted visa applications and collecting passports on time for different embassies.
- Provide support to Office Assistant for record keeping of books, publications and arranges to pay all office utilities bills, as required.
- Comply with applicable health and safety CIP policies and procedures.
Selection Criteria
- Technical studies
- At least 2 years of experience required in similar positions with a safe driving record.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Excellent 4-wheel driving skills under difficult conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Skills in minor vehicles repairs.
- Fluent in French and in official language according to country location.
- Basic knowledge in English (Desirable).
