Plan International has been implementing grants from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, since Round 4 in various roles of Principal Recipient (PR), Sub- Recipient (SR) and Sub Sub-Recipient (SSR). Covering countries like, Benin, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Cameroun, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, El Salvador, Thailand, Togo and Zimbabwe.

Plan International has been awarded GC7 TB/HIV/RSSH grant from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Plan International Liberia been selected to as PR to implement the grant with multiple partners including MOH as SR/SSR/SP (Service Provider).

This post is needed to ensure quality and compliance with programmatic and financial indicators of Sub Recipients, through on-going support to field work in research, planning, monitoring and evaluation.

ROLE PURPOSE

To drive Plan vehicles in a professional manner, and within Plan’s vehicle policy, and ensure that they are adequately maintained and provide administrative support to Plan staff.

•           The Administrative staff

•           Dispatcher of all correspondences as assigned

Dimensions of the Role

  • Reporting to the Operations Officer, the Driver is responsible to drive to and from work staff and take staff in the field for implementation of activities
  • He/She ensures that the vehicle is in good running condition every day and is to report any problem to the Operations Officer
  • Drive staff or any other authorized person(s), material(s), and equipment(s) as directed by the authorized Logistic Officer.
  • Report any anomaly noticed in the running of the car or any incident/accident that happen to the car while using it.
  • Ensure that the vehicle maintenance schedule is adhered to.
  • Ensure that fuel and maintenance cost are duly recorded in the vehicle maintenance log book
  • Ensure that all vehicle movements are recorded in the corresponding logbook (destination, distance, purpose, etc.)
  • Ensure that the cars are always clean and ready for use.
  • Ensure that vehicles are safely parked in Plan premises when not in use or after work hours, and strictly adhere to Plan‘s vehicle policy with regards time, vehicle use, authorized passengers, etc.
  • Signal to the Operations Officer at least 3 months before the expiry date of the administrative document of the cars (insurance/road worthiness certificate etc)
  • Effect any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

  • Bonne gestion des fournitures et autres matériels du véhicule ;Good management of supplies and other equipment of the vehicle
  • Car reCar repair and maintenance record is well maintained

Dealing with Problems:

  • High degree of complexity in resolving a wide range of challenges
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Qualification and Experience

  • At least a high school graduate with WAEC/WASSCE
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in a similar position and with a credible institution
