Yazda is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2014 in response to the genocide committed by the self-declared Islamic State (“IS”) against the Yazidis and other communities in Iraq and Syria. Since its inception, Yazda has worked with local and international partners to provide Yazidi survivors, IDPs, and refugees with humanitarian, accountability, and advocacy services in their post-genocide recovery. Yazda has been working in Iraq since October 2014 and operates out of the main offices in Duhok in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and out of the Sinoni office in Sinjar in Nineveh Province. Yazda is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States and is registered in Erbil, Baghdad, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and Australia.

Introduction: Yazda seeks a driver under the service contract to join our team in Sinjar, Iraq, for the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) project. This initiative aims to integrate Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and Mental Health (MH) services into Primary Health Care Centers (PHCC) through mobile units, enhancing healthcare access and awareness among the Yazidi community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1-General
Driver must always comply with the speed limit.
Drivers are expressly forbidden to use mobile phones while driving.
Drivers shall be always on time.
2-Transportation of Passengers
Unauthorized passengers are strictly forbidden.
Driver responsible for transporting the staff inside and outside the cities in which they are based.
3-Vehicle maintenance
Driver responsible for making the vehicle ready to work anytime during working days.
Refilling the vehicle with fuel and always ready for work.
Ensure that the vehicle is fully clean and washed every working day
– Breakdowns, Accidents & Reporting
Immediately report any accidents or break down or security situation to the line security manager.
Ensure that all passengers are safe and appropriately evacuating them from the vehicle.
Comply with all reasonable requests of any other person involved in the accident.
Comply with all orders from the security forces, national police, and emergency services.
If leaving the vehicle, take all documents and high-value of goods from the vehicle.
Ensure that the vehicle contain a first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
-Security
Doors should be locked and windows closed when travelling through mountain areas.
Valuable items must not be left on display in the vehicle.
Driver should not stop close to any military base without order.
Driver should not move without authorized letter for checkpoint.
Other Responsibility
The driver should be very flexible with the staff.
