PIN is looking to hire a driver with their own vehicle in Kirkuk district. The driver will be conducting trips in the field and project sites as per the schedule provided by the logistics department.

 Responsibilities:

 

̶ Adhere to PIN’s transport policy which includes (maintenance schedule, vehicle equipment, safety rules…etc.).

̶ No unauthorized, or armed personnel on board PIN vehicles.

̶ No goods that are non-PIN (unless inspected and permitted by the logistics department).

̶ Respecting traffic rules with due diligence.

̶ Able to stay overnight in some cases.

̶ No speaking on the mobile phone while driving.

̶ No smoking in the vehicles.

̶ The driver always adapts the speed according to the road signs, conditions of the road, the load carried and the pedestrians on streets and keeps safe distance from other traffic.

̶ All passengers must wear seat belts at all times.

̶ The driver must always have the driving license and a copy of the car documents on board.

̶ Every trip must be registered in PIN logbook application.

̶ Notify logistics manager/security and fleet officer in case of accident.

̶ Notify the fleet officer in case of mechanical problem.

̶ Anyone travelling in a vehicle which is being driven too fast must insist that the driver slows down to a permitted speed.

̶ Able to use mobile applications (GPS maps, PIN logbook application…etc.).

̶ Under no circumstances can personnel be carried in the back of pick-up vehicles.

̶ PIN Drivers must work to develop a good reputation on the roads:

̶ Give all pedestrians the right of way without showing impatience.

̶ Giving people and bicycle riders enough time to cross the road without hooting.

̶ Not attempting to overtake vehicles that have overtaken you as a revenge or competition.

̶ Being patient with animal herders in both rural and urban areas.

̶ It’s the driver’s responsibility to ensure:

̶ The vehicle is road worthy and there is sufficient fuel for the journey.

̶ PIN Mandatory equipment is complete and available.

 

Qualifications of driver:

̶ Must have a valid driving license.

̶ Must own their own vehicle with documentation available, ownership document or PoA document is required.

̶ Must have new national ID card (or willing to renew).

̶ Minimum of 4 years of driving experience (date from first obtained driving license). 1 year of experience with INGOs or with PIN in Kirkuk is preferable.

̶ Candidates from Kirkuk are preferable.

 

Qualifications of vehicle (minimum specifications):

̶ Wheel drive system: 2×4 or 4×4

̶ Type: Minibus

̶ Number of seats: 7 passengers (excluding driver’s seat)

̶ Year of make: 2018 and above

̶ Condition: no previous wrecks

̶ Air conditioner: yes

̶ Electric windows: yes

 

Standard safety equipment and requirements:

̶ Fire extinguisher

̶ First aid kit

̶ Seat-belt restraints

̶ Airbags: yes, must be fully functional

̶ Remote keyless entry with alarm: yes

̶ Spare tire

̶ Mechanical jack

̶ Basic hand tools

Languages:

̶ Arabic fluency (read, write and speak), and English basics is preferable.

 

Locations:

̶ The base location for services providers will be in Kirkuk. Trips to the field shall be determined on daily basis, this includes out of Kirkuk governorates and other cities and project sites of PIN.

 

Additional Information:

̶ Driver must be tested by the logistics department with the presence of the vehicle requested.
