Job Title: Driver (with Vehicle)

Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (KRI), with frequent travel to other areas of KRI.

Type of position: Service Contract – Full-time 

Length of Contract: Monthly renewable service agreement, subject to satisfactory performance and ongoing operational need.

Compensation and Benefits: Fixed monthly service fee (inclusive of vehicle, fuel, maintenance, driver service).

Role of the job title: The selected service provider will deliver full-time driving services based in Erbil, with regular travel to other SEED-related locations within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI). Under this monthly renewable service agreement, the provider will be responsible for transporting SEED staff, goods, and materials as assigned, including regular routes between Erbil and other operational sites. Additional transportation services may be requested by SEED management in line with operational needs.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Service Standards
  • Maintain a valid driving license and present it upon request.
  • Provide professional driving services, including punctual pick-up and drop-off of staff and goods.
  • Maintain flexibility in working hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and late-night trips based on need.
  • Ensure strict adherence to road safety practices, including always wearing seatbelts and requiring passengers to do the same.
  • Avoid mobile phone usage while driving unless using hands-free equipment, and only when safe.
  1. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks (e.g., engine, oil, brake fluid, tire pressure, windshield fluid) on a weekly basis.
  • Report any vehicle damage, accidents, or malfunctions to SEED immediately.
  • Obtain prior approval from SEED before performing maintenance or repairs.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is always equipped with functional emergency and maintenance tools (e.g., spare tire, jack, belts, ropes, first aid kits ).
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene inside the vehicle.
  1. Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with basic logistical support tasks, as requested.
  • Report any observed or experienced security concerns to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain full confidentiality regarding SEED operations, personnel, and information
