About Us

Free to Run’s mission is to advance gender equity globally through running. We are a registered nonprofit / nongovernmental organization that has been operating community-led programs for adolescent girls and young women since 2014. We are known for delivering long-term, youth-led, progressive running, leadership, rights and health programs directly to adolescent girls and young women living in protracted conflict zones. However, the longer term impact of our work is building enduring social change – decreasing barriers to public participation, increasing women in leadership and making power structures more equitable and inclusive. Position Overview

The Driver will play a vital role in ensuring the secure and efficient transportation of team members, beneficiaries, and resources utilising a minivan equipped to accommodate a minimum of 15 passengers. The role encompasses transporting individuals and materials to various sub-districts within Nineveh but mainly Sinjar and surrounding villages. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism. The driver will adhere to all traffic and FTR safety rules. Additionally, the driver will bear the responsibility of proper maintenance of vehicles in compliance with safe driving standards. This includes ensuring timely refuelling, fuel supply management, and maintaining the vehicle’s overall condition. 

Core Accountabilities

• Safely operate the minivan to transport staff members, beneficiaries, and materials to various locations.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the minivan, including regular check-ups, oil changes, and necessary repairs.
• Maintain a comprehensive logbook for all tasks related to trips, fuelling, maintenance, and repairs performed on the minivan.
• Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations to guarantee the safety of passengers and pedestrians.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to minimise travel time while prioritising safety.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while interacting with passengers and other road users.
• Ensure the availability of necessary supplies in the minivan, such as first aid kits and emergency tools.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off schedules.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the NGO.
• Responsible for the fuel consumption
• Work after duty hours or holidays as and when required and with prior notice from the line manager and will be repaid as working hours instead of cash.
• Any other Tasks required by the line manager.

Remuneration

Based on experience. Aligned with market rate in Kurdistan and Iraq.

نظرة عامة على الوظيفة

سيلعب السائق دورًا حيويًا في ضمان النقل الآمن والفعال لأعضاء الفريق والمستفيدين والموارد باستخدام حافلة صغيرة مجهزة لاستيعاب ما لا يقل عن 15 راكبًا. يشمل الدور نقل الأفراد والمواد إلى مناطق فرعية مختلفة داخل نينوى ولكن بشكل أساسيسنجار والقرى المجاورة. سيُظهر المرشح المثالي التزامًا قويًا بالسلامة والالتزام بالمواعيد والاحترافية. سيلتزم السائق بجميع قواعد المرور وسلامة FTR. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، سيتحمل السائق مسؤولية الصيانة المناسبة للمركبات بما يتوافق مع معايير القيادة الآمنة. يتضمن ذلك ضمان التزود بالوقود في الوقت المناسب وإدارة إمدادات الوقود والحفاظ على الحالة العامة للمركبة

المسؤوليات الأساسية

·        تشغيل الحافلة الصغيرة بأمان لنقل أعضاء الفريق والمستفيدين والمواد إلى مواقع مختلفة.

·        ضمان نظافة الحافلة الصغيرة وصيانتها، بما في ذلك الفحوصات الدورية وتغيير الزيت والإصلاحات اللازمة.

·        الاحتفاظ بسجل شامل لجميع المهام المتعلقة بالرحلات والتزود بالوقود والصيانة والإصلاحات التي يتم إجراؤها على الحافلة الصغيرة.

·        الالتزام بجميع قواعد وأنظمة المرور لضمان سلامة الركاب والمشاة.

·        التخطيط لطرق فعالة واتباعها لتقليل وقت السفر مع إعطاء الأولوية للسلامة.

·        مساعدة الركاب في الصعود والنزول، وضمان راحتهم وسلامتهم طوال الرحلة.

·        الحفاظ على سلوك مهني ومهذب أثناء التعامل مع الركاب ومستخدمي الطريق الآخرين.

·        ضمان توفر الإمدادات الضرورية في الحافلة الصغيرة، مثل أدوات الإسعافات الأولية وأدوات الطوارئ.

·        التنسيق مع فريق الخدمات اللوجستية لضمان جداول الاستلام والتوصيل في الوقت المناسب.

·        الإبلاغ عن أي حوادث أو حوادث أو أعطال في السيارة إلى المشرف المختص.

·        المساهمة في خلق بيئة عمل إيجابية وتعاونية داخل المنظمة غير الحكومية.

·        يكون مسؤولاً عن استهلاك الوقود

·        العمل بعد ساعات العمل أو العطلات الرسمية حسب الحاجة ومع إخطار مسبق من مدير الخط وسيتم سداد الأجر كساعات عمل بدلاً من النقد.

·        أي مهام أخرى يطلبها مدير المباشر.
