Our Early Learning and Development Services (ELDS) delivers high quality childcare with a curriculum that brings together Ngala’s many years of childhood development research and experience. We focus on nature play, learning through child-led play and facilitate a free-flow indoor/outdoor policy.

About the role

As the ECT & Team Leader, you will work alongside a team of Early Childhood Educators to deliver child focused care to children 0-6 years of age and ensure Educators adhere to all policies and procedures and support their development by providing supervision, mentoring, and leading by example. In addition, you will be responsible for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate curriculums for individual children or groups of children in care.

This is a Permanent Full-time (38 hours per week), ongoing opportunity in our Redcliffe/Perth Airport centre. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30am to 6:00pm.

About you

You are passionate about children’s learning and development and are a leader who can bring out the best in others. You will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or equivalent, and a current registration with the Teacher’s Registration Board WA (TRBWA).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development and learning of children 0-6 years old
  • Knowledge and application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • A current first aid certificate, including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and self learning to achieve the best outcomes for children 
  • Exceptional conflict resolution skills 
  • High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 

If successful, you will need to possess a satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within six months and current WA Working with Children’s Check.
