WE ARE
The Directorate General for International Partnership is responsible for designing EU development
policies and for the implementation of the Commission’s external aid instruments.
INTPA Directorate C deals with Asia, Central Asia, Pacific, and Afghanistan ensuring geographic
coordination with the EU Delegations in those regions. Its programmes and projects are financed
through the Neighborhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI).
Unit INTPA C.1 is responsible for Central Asia, Afghanistan and Migration.
WE PROPOSE
We are looking for a motivated colleague to provide administrative support and ensure overall
coordination within INTPA C1. The colleague will assist the Head of Unit, Heads of Sectors and
Desks in organisational matters and its overall management.
He/she will handle correspondence and prepare, coordinate and follow-up meetings within Unit C1.
WE LOOK FOR
We look for a highly motivated, dynamic and proactive and efficient Secretary with proven excellent
secretarial, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must
have the ability to prioritise work and deal with competing demands. The successful candidate
must be capable of showing initiative and have keen sense of responsibility to ensure the respect
of the deadlines. Discretion and tact are essential for this post.
A good working knowledge of the Commission is required. Knowledge of development cooperation
procedures is essential. very good working knowledge of English and French are required for this
post.
The candidate should have preferably a good knowledge of EU Financing instruments and
Commission decisional procedures. The ideal candidate should be immediately operational, have a
strong team spirit but also the ability to work independently. Hence, he/she should be pro-active,

problem solving and show a solution-oriented attitude as well as adaptability to a changing
environment. Experience in working with Delegations is an advantage.
