THE BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MALAGA NEEDS TO HIRE A SUBSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL FOR THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: ECAI SPECIALIST TECHNICIAN

Principal researcher: Maria Luisa Garcia Martin

Location:  Nanoimaging Unit / Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Service.

Project/research line: Nanoimaging / Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Service

Functions to be developed :

Management of Bruker Ascend 400 MHz and Bruker Avance 600 MHz NMR equipment: acquisition of 1D and 2D spectra of 1H, 13C and 31P.

Basic maintenance of the above equipment: weekly refilling of liquid N2, changing the probe when required and performing periodic tests to check the correct operation of the equipment.

Preparation of biological samples for NMR analysis, including biofluids and tissue samples, both animal and human.

Management of TD-NMR equipment (Minispec) for low-field magnetic relaxivity measurements.

Provide support in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies, both in animal preparation and image acquisition.

Minimum requirements :

Bachelor’s or Degree in Life Sciences.

Minimum of 2 years experience in advanced management of MRI equipment.

MANAGEMENT OF MRI IMAGE ACQUISITION AND PROCESSING SOFTWARE

Be in possession of the training to work with experimental animals (Function C according to order ECC/566/2015).

Experience in preparing biological samples for NMR analysis.

The aforementioned requirements must be accredited by means of a certificate from a competent body or a responsible declaration.

Contract details :

• Hiring modality: Contract to replace the worker
• Category: ECAI technical specialist
• Location: Ibima Bionad Platform
• Gross annual remuneration: €23,345.58 plus €2,204.36 variable.
• Time: Full time (35 hours per week).
• Estimated duration: The length of time the substituted worker’s leave lasts.

Selection process :
