About the Role

We are looking for a new Ecologist for the development phase of an exciting project. You’ll
work closely with land manager partners, the project team and a range of consultants to design
and test new opportunities for land use change for nature recovery.

You’ll be part of our mission to inspire and empower people to help create a fully sustainable
world where nature and all people thrive.

What we need from you

  • Extensive scientific knowledge of ecology and habitat management, natural history and
    ecological processes.
  • Ability to undertake habitat and species surveys.
  • Ability to work in a partnership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to change their land management
    practices.
  • Ability to contribute to building collaborative, motivated, resilient, inclusive teams.
  • Commitment to RSPB’s Values and equity, diversity and inclusion. 
  • Relevant degree, e.g. BSc or UK equivalent

Additional Information

This role is a fixed-term contract to 31st March 2026. We reserve the right to
extend/make permanent at any time.
