Due to a steadily increasing order book, we are currently seeking an Ecologist to join our
friendly team. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of terrestrial habitats
and protected species survey techniques, and have good communication and report-writing
skills.
We are inviting professionals with previous or current experience to apply.
Key requirements for the role are:
- Experience with managing projects and preparing reports
- A minimum of 3 years’ full time experience working in ecological consultancy
- Good knowledge of wildlife legislation and development plan policy
- Appropriate degree/professional qualification(s)
- IT skills with knowledge of full Microsoft Office package
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable requirements for the role are:
- Member of CIEEM
- CSCS Card
- Hold one or more protected species licences
Core responsibilities of the position will include:
- Completion of baseline ecological habitat surveys
- Completion of protected species surveys
- Liaising and working with specialist sub-consultants (as required)
- Preparation of reports and data handling
- Project management and client liaison
