We are looking for experienced Ecology Clerk of Works to assist our Habitats contractor team on
an extensive programme of habitat establishment, maintenance and management work across a
network of more than 50 Ecological Mitigation Areas in Warwickshire and surrounding areas.
The sites include areas of woodland, species-diverse grassland, wetlands, including ponds,
hedgerows, and species-specific habitat features such as hibernacula.
We currently have 2 full-time positions available; however, we would consider part-time posts
for the right candidates. The posts are to commence as soon as possible and will continue until
March 2026.
The role will include:
- Supervision and monitoring of habitat management works
- Compliance with Client Ecology Precautionary Working Method Statements
- Compliance with ecological licence and permit constraints
- Delivery of Ecology Toolbox Talks as required
- Undertaking ecology surveys and site work
- Reporting and auditing site work
- Contribution to the ongoing development of the habitat management plans
- Reporting of incidental finds
A key part of the role will be the ability to liaise closely with the project management and
operational delivery teams to ensure seamless and compliant completion of works of this complex
and rewarding package of works.
Ideally applicants will have a qualification in Ecology or a related field and must be able to
clearly demonstrate experience in capacity as an Ecological Clerk of Works (field-based and
reporting). Ideally you will have protected species survey licences and will be well accustomed
to using GIS technology on site.
