We are currently working with a Local Authority in South Wales who are looking for an Economic Development Project Manager to be responsible for managing several key projects.Rate: £180 per day / Negotiable Inside IR35Duration: 11 months with a view to become permanentHybrid working in South WalesYour duties will include:

• Developing & delivering an event management, marketing, and communications plan to sell the area as a global destination for inward investment across a range of key projects
• Delivering in line with budget and key objectives agreed with to the MIPIM partner board comprising the Council and partners and reporting progress at regular meetings
• Developing partner packages and be responsible for selling these agreed target organisations, deliver benefits and be responsible for securing the investment and producing post event reports for partners
• Maintaining accurate budget monitoring and be responsible for collecting all income and paying invoices
• Producing tenders for agencies to support project delivery and manage appointed agencies
• Building the council’s networks in key territories to ensure that investors know that the LA is open for business on a global stage

Required skills and experience:

• Strong Economic Development knowledge with a particular focus on commercial property
• Prior project management experience ideally within a local authority setting
