Our Smart Hub publishes the best in narrative non-fiction on WH Allen, leading business and personal development on Ebury Edge and voice-driven memoir and smart popular culture on Ebury Press. Across these three imprints we publish prizewinning bestsellers by some of our leading writers and thinkers, from Maria Ressa and Michael Rosen to Sheryl Sandberg, Caitlin Moran, Janina Ramirez, Steven Bartlett, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Adam Grant and James O’Brien.The roleWe are looking for an accomplished editor who can support senior commissioners with their publishing across the above lists, and who also has the vision to start their own commissioning. The members of the Smart Hub work flexibly across the three imprints, and while a wide range of interests are encouraged, this role will report to the Publishing Director of Ebury Press.To succeed in this role, you’ll have an excellent eye for detail and experience leading edits and managing non-fiction projects. You may already have some commissioning experience or you may be ready to start acquiring books, but either way you’ll be an ambitious self-starter who is full of ideas and has a keen eye for the emerging talent that is driving our cultural conversations.This is a chance to join a dynamic, high-energy team at an exciting moment of growth and momentum for the UK’s largest dedicated non-fiction publisher, awarded Publisher of the Year at the recent British Book Awards.About Penguin:We’re the UK’s largest publisher; made up of some 2,000 people and publishing over 1,500 books each year.
