Objective of the position:

The objective of the Education Advisor position is to ensure the successful alignment and contextualization of the project’s educational framework and media curriculum with the project’s overall goal and objectives and the Iraq’s national Early Childhood Development policy. This role is critical in providing expert feedback and advice on curriculum content, ensuring cultural appropriateness and relevance to achieve project goals. Additionally, the advisor will actively participate in various project meetings, workshops, field visits, and events to provide continuous guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review the project technical framework and media curriculum (including approaches, definitions, and tools) and provide feedback/advice to ensure the project documents are aligned with Iraq national ECD policy, culturally appropriate and contextualized to achieve the project’s goals and objectives.
• Review of written scripts in Arabic, answering questions, providing input via phone calls and/or emails, and advising on the content development process relating to early childhood development and social cohesion.
• Review scripts in Arabic to ensure that concepts and overarching messages align with the English version.  
• Provide written comments as well as periodic reports regarding curriculum language and other related topics.
• Provide recommendations for third party sources to further inform development of curriculum, scripts, content, etc.
• Attend other advisory meetings as requested by SWIQ and SW.
• Participate in Project “Pause and Reflect” meetings as needed.
• Participate in Project’s Implementation planning workshops.
• Provide advice and guidance on the formative research
• Participate in field visits to ECD centers and youth centers as requested by SWIQ.
• Participate in bi-annual and annual project events as requested by SWIQ.
• Lead/co lead technical sessions as needed by SWIQ.
• Perform all other reasonably related Services as requested by SWIQ.

• مراجعة الإطار الفني للمشروع والمناهج الإعلامية (بما في ذلك النهج والتعريفات والأدوات) وتقديم الملاحظات والنصائح لضمان توافق وثائق المشروع مع سياسة تنمية الطفولة المبكرة الوطنية في العراق، وملاءمتها ثقافياً لتحقيق أهداف المشروع.
• مراجعة النصوص المكتوبة بالعربية، والإجابة على الأسئلة، وتقديم المدخلات عبر المكالمات الهاتفية أو البريد الإلكتروني، وتقديم المشورة بشأن عملية تطوير المحتوى المتعلقة بتنمية الطفولة المبكرة والتماسك الاجتماعي.
• مراجعة النصوص بالعربية لضمان توافق المفاهيم والرسائل الأساسية مع النسخة الإنجليزية.
• تقديم تعليقات مكتوبة بالإضافة إلى تقارير دورية بشأن لغة المنهج الدراسي ومواضيع أخرى ذات صلة.
• تقديم توصيات بشأن مصادر خارجية إضافية للمساهمة في تطوير المناهج والنصوص والمحتوى.
• حضور اجتماعات استشارية أخرى حسب طلب SWIQ وSW.
• المشاركة في اجتماعات “التوقف والتفكير” للمشروع حسب الحاجة.
• المشاركة في ورش تخطيط تنفيذ المشروع.
• تقديم المشورة والإرشاد بشأن البحث التكويني.
• المشاركة في الزيارات الميدانية لمراكز الطفولة المبكرة ومراكز الشباب حسب طلب SWIQ.
• المشاركة في الفعاليات نصف السنوية والسنوية للمشروع حسب طلب SWIQ.
• قيادة/مشاركة قيادة الجلسات الفنية حسب الحاجة من قبل SWIQ.
• أداء جميع الخدمات الأخرى ذات الصلة بشكل معقول كما طلبتها SWIQ.
