Your new role
Reporting to a Manager, Education and Engagement, the Education and Engagement Coordinator will develop and deliver best practice training, legal education (family violence, family law or child protection context), and community and sector development programs that build the capacity of professionals, and communities to respond appropriately to women experiencing relationship breakdown or violence.
This is an ongoing, full time or part time position.
What you’ll need to succeed
You are a driven, motivated self-starter who can work collaboratively to deliver results that exceed the client’s expectations. You have high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with people quickly.
Key to your success is your:
- Ability to plan, design, develop and implement best practice education and training programs, including the development of learning resources within a family violence, family law or child protection context
- Strong project management skills, including setting priorities, planning and organising work
- Strategic and systemic thinking and the ability to foster these skills in others
- Design and deliver effective competency-based training
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively network with a range of stakeholders
- Understanding of and ability to apply an intersectional feminist framework.
Essential:
- Experience in training development and facilitation within a family violence, family law or child protection context
- Experience in project management and stakeholder liaison
Desirable:
- A tertiary degree in a relevant area, such as Law, Social Work, Education.
- Experience in delivery of education programs that explain feminist theory, gendered violence, legal matters, the law and/or legal systems
- Instruction design skills and experience in design of e-modules.

- Providing high quality legal services for Victorian women who are disadvantaged or marginalised by structural and systemic barriers,
- Assisting women and professionals that work with women, to better understand the law and navigate the legal system safely, and
- Advancing gender equality by challenging unsafe and discriminatory policies and laws and informing and advocating for legal and policy initiatives that respect and promote the rights of women
