Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with course work in environmental or experiential education, natural sciences, or related field, or equivalent lived or work experience
  • One year+ experience facilitating educational youth programs, preferably outdoors
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning about and implementing principles of justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion with all staff and program participants
  • Familiarity with Southwest Oregon ecology and communities
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle with full liability car insurance coverage
  • First-Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain certification prior to first teaching day (SOLC will reimburse this cost). Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred.
  • Spanish language proficiency or fluency preferred
  • Satisfactory background check as verified records check
  • Genuine enthusiasm for land conservation and youth education
