Education Coordinator

Position Summary

The Education Coordinator plans and delivers in-classroom and nature-oriented, place-based outdoor education that is aligned with state science standards in grades 1-12 and supports adult education programming.

Desired Qualifications 

• Multiple experiences developing NGSS-aligned curriculum
• 3+ years experience delivering NGSS-aligned curriculum
• 3+ years experience teaching in a formal classroom setting
• Experience working with multiple grade levels
• Preferred: experience incorporating or aligning curriculum with Since Time Immemorial curriculum, social and emotional learning components, common core standards, and/or other Washington state standards
• Preferred: experience working with public schools
• Preferred: Washington State teaching certificate, Bachelor’s in Education, or equivalent degree/certification
• Preferred: experience working with students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
• Preferred: experience working with students in an outdoor education setting
• Fluency with MS Office programs and the Internet
