Main responsibilites
In your role as Education Lead, you …
- Are responsible for the implementation of Fondation Botnar’s Education Strategy and portfolio of projects
- Coordinate the education team and project portfolio, and work with other thematic leads to ensure alignment across themes towards young people’s wellbeing,
- Keep abreast of the latest discussions and developments around young people’s education and wellbeing, for example, on the following topics: digital transformation of education systems, inclusive education, personalized education, holistic learning / 21st century life skills
- Support Fondation Botnar and its partners in developing practical approaches to processing evidence to inform education-related policy and practice.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships and projects
- Collaborate with the communication and Strategic Learning and Evaluation team members with regard to the education portfolio of project and activities
- Represent the foundation in its engagement with education-related global partners and stakeholders
- Facilitate collaboration and coordinate joint efforts with key stakeholders and partners
- Enable agency of local partners in the design of their education-related strategies, research, policies and programmes.

Skills required
You have….
- A Master’s degree, preferably in areas of relevance to education, e.g. social science, social work and pedagogy, public policy, or social innovation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education-related work in low/middle-income countries (LMICs), preferably in one or more of the following fields: digital transformation, young people’s wellbeing, civic innovation, 21st century skills integration to schools, inclusive education, holistic learning, personalized education, education policy.
- Experience in programmatic work related to education, including monitoring and evaluation
- Considerable experience of working/ living in LMICs.
- Demonstrable ability to identify and address relevant education gaps and opportunities at the country and global level
- Strong partnership development and engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in conveying messages effectively to a range of audiences; Fluency (verbal and written) in English is required, other languages are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with partners and stakeholders at all levels and across different countries and contexts.
- Facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
