We are always looking for opportunities to further support our users and respond to current educational initiatives and, as such, we are now delighted to be focusing on developing our Conduit, Secondary Scotland resources and team.Conduit is our Scottish Secondary brand, launched in August 2022. We began with a small team of English teachers to develop teaching and learning resources as well as materials to support skills development to help bridge the gap between the BGE and Senior Phase. We now work on additional subject areas too, with more coming online soon. The Conduit team has become so successful that we are ready to grow and develop our Secondary offering further. As Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for onboarding new team members, supporting Product Owners and the Segment Manager in implementing this vision for further success.Role Responsibilities:● Sprint planning, setting priorities, projects and deadlines across the teams using Jira, Tableau, download stats, accuracy stats, etc.● General project management responsibilities, such as organisation admin, final sign offs for projects● Line management responsibilities – KPIs & skills matrices, supporting with 1-1 individual team member development and day-to-day support● Monthly reporting on the overall performance of the team● Monthly reporting on the data for the overall product● Organising reviews, mid-sprint reviews and retrospectives● Updating individual template points values● Day-to-day troubleshooting with team members● Reviewing reallocation of human resources for extra resource or too much resource● Requisitions for new hires and working alongside the Production Manager to do this● Answering questions and offering support to roles and team members from Designers, Content Writers, Content Editors, & Illustrators● Facilitating the organising and running of Checktastics and training sessions● Hosting stand-ups, roadmap meetings and socials● Weekly team priorities● Assisting the Production Manager with recruitment and onboarding new starters● Jira and web/admin supportYour weekly activity could include:Performance:● Creating and maintaining a culture of problem solving and positivity;● Tracking and supporting team member productivity;● Creating measurable targets with team members;● Setting sprint goals and deadlines;● Making contract recommendations to the People Team (where necessary), based on collected evidence of performance;● Inspiring, motivating and empowering individuals;● Building on pre-existing line management support provided by experienced Team Leaders;● Proactive and confident when making decisions that align with the business goals/KPIs.● Work SMART and challenge yourself as well as your team to better themselves and maximise morale and output.Communication:● Keeping to diary engagements wherever possible and being flexible with availability to team members;● Being inclusive to all team members, encouraging engagement with social events at Twinkl;● Creating a feeling of safety within the team, so that individuals are comfortable coming to you with difficult conversations;● Creating a feeling of safety within the team, so that individuals are open to healthy levels of challenge;● Showcasing all the Twinkl values and portray this when leading your team. A key emphasis on Leading the Way.Training:● Assisting the Product Owners and Segment Manager with onboarding and training new starters, where necessary;● Encouraging, disseminating or innovating with further training for existing team members;● Encourage engagement and participation by creating activities for the team to be involved in.
