About the Opportunity
In this full-time 12-month contract role, you will be required to work in both rooms (6 weeks – 3yrs and 3yrs – 5yrs)
- A full-time 12-month contract for a Diploma Qualified Educator!
- Base pay up to $38.34/hr + Super + Salary Packaging up to $18,550
At Uniting Galston Early Learning Centre, we support families with education and care for their children, including a preschool program. We are open long hours for children from birth to five years. This service is approved for 40 children and operating hours are from 7:15am to 6:15pm.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your care work may include:
- Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
- Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
Who we’re looking for
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (essential), with previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.
- A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Understand the National Quality Framework and EYLF
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
