Description

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and shape activities in close collaboration with Project coordinator and team leader and following TDH Italy relevant Education curriculum;
  • Refer cases identified as in need of specialized and additional support to Team leader and Case workers;
  • Reporting to Team leader and support him in adapting the activities to better fit the needs of the children in the community, with specific attention to the needs of the most vulnerable;
  • Monitor daily attendance, progresses and behaviors of children during the activities;
  • Collect data of the children with the purpose of monitoring and evaluating the activities including registration (intake form), attendance, satisfaction surveys, pre-post tests, etc.
  • Support team leader and Project coordinator in designing weekly/monthly working plans and report;
  • Undertake responsibilities of observing learning Facilitator activities and behaviors in field.
  • Provide training to Learning Facilitator and community mobilizer on any relevant curriculum of learning and education activities;
  • Support the Education team in organizing activities such as Parental Teacher Association, community-based activities, parental sessions, etc.
  • Draft periodical report on the ongoing activities.
  • Conducting any relevant assessment/survey (with community and/or children’s) needed.
  • In case needed, Educator should support Protection and PSS activities.
  • Responsible to maintain the place of work tidy and clean.
  • Report Child protection concerns in the community and working area.
  • Support CPC.
  • Support FGDs.
  • In case of need, support awareness campaign.
  • Support other colleagues (even from other project/ department) for best interest of children.
  • Support in implementing relevant protection activities.
  • Any other duties assigned by line manager.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • College degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Education or similar;
  • Proved experience in NGOs, preferably in Protection or Child protection projects;
  • At least 2 years-experience in similar position;
  • Fluency in Arabic, English is preferrable;
  • Previous experience in NGOs and good knowledge of humanitarian principles, humanitarian aid and procedures;
  • Good use of computer (Office package);
