- Up to $36.53/hr (depending on experience) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging!
- Part time Maternity leave contract till March 2025 – with the potential for extension or a permanent position
- Working 3 days per week (flexibility on days and opportunity for extra shifts)
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support , develop and facilitate learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework!
Your work will include:
- Contribute to the development of educational programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
- Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
- Implement and follow Uniting’s policies and procedures across all aspects of service delivery
- Work in collaboration with members of a team
- Being involved in Intergenerational programs
Who we’re looking for
- Diploma in Children Services (essential), with previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.
- A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Understand the National Quality Framework and EYLF
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

About the Service
For over 20 years, Uniting Kids Care Early Learning Springwood has supported families in our community with education and childcare, including a preschool program. We are open long hours for children from two to five years. Conveniently located near leafy Buttenshaw Park and in the spacious grounds of the Springwood Uniting Church, our service offers warm and welcoming indoor learning spaces and stimulating outdoor environments that are designed to inspire and engage.
