At Lutheran Education Queensland Early Childhood & OSHC Services we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.
Nazareth Lutheran ELCis a well-established small community based Christian early childhood service with a long-standing reputation for excellent quality early education and community care. Nazareth Lutheran ELC is located at Woolloongabba and has great connections within the Gabba community.
We are currently looking for a highly enthusiastic, positive and community minded Educator with a diploma or certificate in early education and care to fulfil permanent full time role.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively supervising and engaging children in a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Providing all children with a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
- Building meaningful relationships with children, families and the local community.
- Working collaboratively within a strong team environment to ensure the best outcomes for children, families and the community.
- Undertaking general cleaning tasks.
- Supporting the Christian ethos of the Service
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or be studying towards.
- Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and CPR.
- Previous childcare experience, preferable experience working with Inclusion Support.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards, National Framework and EYLF.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to positively and proactively engage with staff, children and families.
- A professional and enthusiastic attitude.
