This is a casual opportunity for two enthusiastic Certificate III Qualified Educator to join our team!
About the service:
As part of the new inclusive campus community at Uniting Westmead, our long day care centre offers unique learning opportunities, with 75 places for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, a fire pit, chickens, large free flowing learning spaces which bring the indoors outdoors. Uniting Westmead Campus comprises of an Early Learning Centre, Residential Aged Care, Retirement living, Seniors Gym and a café open to the public. This provides opportunities to participate in Intergenerational programs as well as connecting with the local community.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Certificate III Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your work may include:
- Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
Who we’re looking for
- Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous on the job experience (preferred)
- Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
- A work history that demonstrates, programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard)
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
