Role: Electrical EstimatorLocation: HertfordshireSalary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum + ExpensesTechnical Resources are recruiting for a skilled Electrical Estimator to join an expanding team in Hertfordshire and support the company’s growing portfolio of projects. This role is urgent and requires the candidate to start as soon as possible.Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates for Electrical and Fire & Security installations.
• Attend site meetings and visits to assess project requirements.
• Engage with clients to understand project needs and provide progress updates.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure competitive project costs.
• Work in an office environment with hybrid working options available after 3 months.
• Create estimates based on tender documentation.
• Handle projects ranging from £500k to £4m.
• Utilise take-off and estimating software for accurate cost calculations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
• Manage a workload split of 60% Electrical and 40% Fire & Security projects.

Experience and Certifications Required:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator.
• Expertise in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical), Electrical, or Fire & Security systems.
• Background as an engineer in electrical or fire & security disciplines (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Certification in estimating or related fields.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
