Permanent1st Step are currently working with a National Tier 1 M&E Contractor who are recruiting for a Electrical Estimator to join their established team in Northampton. With a healthy pipeline of projects this is a great opportunity to join a strong commercial division.Our client is ideally looking for someone that has gained a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an electrical estimating capacity and has experience of working on residential projects.Responsibilities:
– Complete take-offs from drawings/information provided.
– Full document control on each tender.
– Liaise with subcontractors/suppliers to gain competitive quotations.
– Value Engineering and/or partial design works on tenders.
– Input take offs into estimating software and model/finalise quotation.
– Report to senior estimators and/or Directors including full adjudications of each tender.
– Produce quantified schedule of rates.Person Specification:
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an electrical estimating capacity.
– Knowledge of estimation software.
– Proficient in all Microsoft Office software.
– Confident in pricing projects from £6M – £25M with proven track records.
– Able to work alongside the other Electrical and/or Mechanical Estimators as well as independently within a busy estimating projects department.
