This position maintains high levels of knowledge and expertise regarding access to sponsor accounts and serves as a resource for ORS staff and others regarding financial conflicts of interest. The incumbent interprets regulations, rules, and policies regarding sponsor requirements for proposal submission websites and portals, as well as those for new and continuing awards. They may also assist with basic training of new ORS staff.
This position requires critical thinking skills, problem recognition and problem-solving ability, independent analysis, strong attention to detail, and keen organizational skills. The incumbent shows demonstrated organizational skills, with a command of job duties and workflow. Effective communication skills are a key to a successful career in Research Administration. The position requires an ability to communicate in a positive tone, clear and concise messaging (in both oral and written communication), and the ability to balance compliance with customer service.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid remote schedule after training has concluded.
Typical Functions May Include:
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, AND:
Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of sponsored research experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree for a total of 84 months experience.
