Email Marketing Specialist – Minnesota

Overview: The Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Email Marketing Specialist’s main objective is to conceptualize and deliver email marketing programs to support the expansion and growth of the Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever brands, membership, merchandise, and revenue.

This position is expected to create and execute a content calendar while producing an increased proficiency in email marketing, sponsored content marketing, and basic web development principles. The ability to oversee the creation and distribution of content that tells the organization’s story and explains our mission, services and products to consumers while increasing conversions of integrated marketing campaigns is a must. Additionally, this role will work across all Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever digital platforms, however, the main point of emphasis is email campaigns and associated analytics. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute and/or guide the delivery of the organization’s vast email marketing needs that include video launches, organizational newsletters, membership and donation campaigns, sponsored email sends, merchandise marketing emails, fundraising efforts, volunteer communications, national events and more.
• Assist in the onboarding of current and future employees within our organization’s email marketing platform.
• Design and track the growing list of email segments, automations and subscriber journeys.
• Assist in concepting, managing and working withcontent creators – in house and freelance.
• Assist in direction of online reporting, specifically as it pertains to email marketing, to help guide strategy for digital campaigns, email, web traffic, online merchandise sales, etc.
• Execute a monthly email marketing analytics report to update the marketing team helping to guide existing and future content and call-to-action strategies.
• Represent Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever in person at events, including annual convention, Game Fair, State Fair and sport shows, etc.
• Understand the organization’s mission and promote Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever to members, prospective members, customers and the public.
• Other marketing duties as assigned​.

Job Specifications:  Minimum qualifications for this position include:

• High level of expertise and experience using email marketing platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Insights – Journey strongly preferred.
• S./B.A. in communications, public relations, marketing, related field, or three years of professional experience in email marketing preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and customer relations skills.
• Organized, detail oriented, hard-working with proven team building experience.
• Knowledge of outdoor, hunting, and conservation industries.
• Experience in graphic design, photography or video production is considered a plus.
• Position is based in the organization’s headquarters in White Bear Lake, MN with possibility of being hybrid or full-remote dependent on qualifications and background.
• Less than 10% travel required.

• Starting salary of ~$50,000 (commensurate with qualifications).
