Emergency Response Officer
Location: London (Hybrid: home, office, and in the community)
Salary: £22,781 per annum based on 35 hours per week plus Inner London Weighting of £3,344 if applicable
Hours: 35 per week (mainly working between Monday to Friday but some evening and weekend working will be required)
Contract: Fixed Term to 29th August 2025

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team in London, coordinating the amazing Emergency Response Volunteers within the area.
What will a day in the life of a Emergency Response Officer involve? You’ll be:
Managing and supporting volunteers in emergency responses.
Ensuring effective and efficient responses to crisis and emergency situations.
Developing the emergency planning role, engaging with external organisations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with external organisations, like local authorities and fire and rescue services.
In this really rewarding role, you will be part of a 24-hour on-call rota (duty officer) with potential emergency response duties arising at any time throughout the year.
To be a successful Emergency Response Officer:
Do you have experience of volunteer management?
Do you have experience of delivering high quality services to the public and dealing with complex situations and tasks?
Do you have knowledge of relevant health and safety practices and of legislation for emergency response?
Are you IT proficient, with Microsoft Office programs in particular?
Do you have experience of preparing budgets and interpreting management information and data?
Do you have a full UK manual driving licence held for minimum of two years?
