Here’s where you come in:

As a Programme Director during a response, you will oversee multiple teams, including grant acquisition and management (GAM), MEAL, information management, and partnering. The role seeks a senior leader capable of positioning World Vision strongly and sustainably within the humanitarian response, and with key UN, government, and donors. Responsibilities include:

  • Drive strategy design and support Response Management of its implementation
  • Secure resource to support the Response Strategy implementation
  • Ensure mechanisms are in place to ensure grants are managed and reported in compliance of WV and donors’ requirement with the support of other functions
  • Ensure project designs are with technical quality (with the support of Technical Advisors), align with Response Strategy, evidence-based and in line of donors’ priorities
  • Ensure functioning and sustainable knowledge management system is in place to ensure timely and accurate reporting, as well as to promote learning and good practice in the response
  • Improve and maintain sustainable and equitable partnerships with both local and international organisation
  • Ensure effective and high-quality monitoring, evaluation and accountability results across the response and result will be shared effectively to inform project design and implementation

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in humanitarian, community development, development management, international development, sociology or other related fields
  • A minimum of 5 years in leadership role in the humanitarian assistance and/or development sector, with a significant portion of this in INGOs
  • 8 years’ experience in humanitarian assistance work including significant field presence
  • Experience in program management and implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects
  • Work experience as Snr. Program Officer or Programme Manager at least for 1-3 years in a country other than the home country.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English. Other UN languages such as French, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese, are preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required on short notice.
