Employability Skills Consultant

Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is pleased to announce the opening of call for applications for Employability Skills Consultant under the project “Building Economic Stability for Returnees and Vulnerable Groups in Baghdad and Basra Governorates”.

WEO is looking for an Employability Skills Consultant to join our team for a two-week period from September 01 to 15, 2024, as part of our project. In this role, the Consultant will focus on developing and customizing a training curriculum centered on employability skills essential for job market success. By conducting thorough assessments and aligning training with current market demands, the Consultant will equip participants with critical skills needed for employment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive assessments of participants’ employability needs through surveys, interviews, and market research.

· Identify key employability skills gaps to be addressed in the training curriculum.

· Develop and customize a tailored training curriculum based on market research reports and participants’ backgrounds and skill levels.

· Provide expert advice and guidance on employability skills enhancement.

· Assist participants in securing employment opportunities and effectively managing job applications.

· Offer continuous support and mentorship to ensure sustained employability success.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful results.

· Minimum five years of experience in employability skills training, career coaching, or related fields.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.

· Proven track record in curriculum development and delivering training programs.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in employability assessment tools and training methodologies.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
