If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact, then this opportunity is for you!Brief DescriptionWho are we looking for?We’re looking for a Employee Relations Leader to join our national HR team to provide subject matter expert support to our HR community, our HR advisory service and line managers in relation to complex employee relations cases, in line with formal Human Resources policies and procedures in addition to targeted line manager development.Leading on the quality of performance and the contractual relationship with our external third party service providers of Employee Relations to improve and optimise the provision to our customers. Looking for continuous improvement, future operating opportunities and conducting service reviews.In particular, creating trusted partnerships to be the subject matter expert of choice for our HR community on complex employee relations issues. Responding with national guidelines, principles and documents on key topics. Engaging with our trade unions to consult changes with our industrial relations teams.Acting as a true collaborator with key stakeholders such as Health and Safety, Legal, Ethics and Data Protection to enable cross functional delivery at pace.Providing direction, training and information to our devolved employee relations advisors and business partners through regular meetings, briefings and continuous improvement projects.Whether you have a background as a HR Business partner with a focus on employee relations or whether you have an employee relations advisory experience, this role requires a competent, confident and adaptable approach in a fast and changing environment.About the role (External)What does the average day look like?· Manage all relevant contract administration working with Strategic Sourcing linked to the assigned service provision, to include management of the formal governance of the contract, including ownership of business rules, SLA’s, specification, change control, charges and cost monitoring processes, contract renewal, re-tender or exit, within appropriate timeframes and with appropriate stakeholders to ensure business continuity.· Provide professional, expert, face-to-face Human Resources advice, coaching and supporting clients when dealing with escalated complex Employee Relations cases in line with Network Rail policies and procedures.· Initiating reviews and redesigns of procedure, guides and documents to continuously improve our collateral.· Designing and delivering data insights on the performance of employee relations to allow forecasting on trends and action plans on improvements.· Provide coaching, guidance and support to clients to formulate pragmatic and business focussed solutions which are balanced with policy application and compliant with employment legislation.Person Specification / Essential Criteria· Experience of managing a third party contract for the provision of services and associated relationship management responsibility.· Experience of monitoring, measuring and reporting quality measures and performance metrics.· Strong technical employment law skills· Strong commercial acumen and awareness.· Passionate about customer service with ability to articulate previous achievements through business deliverables.· Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills.· Excellent communication skills· Team management experience· MCIPD qualification or relevant HR experience.How to apply (External)Duration: 12month Secondment/FTCLocation: This role is based in The Quadrant MKThis role is a full-time opportunity, but flexible working patterns will be considered.Band & Salary: 3C £55,596 – £62,546Closing date: 28th May 24.
