About the Role
The Employer Engagement Consultant is responsible for carrying out strategic business development activities to engage and establish employment opportunities for job seekers for the employment region/s and programs they are operating within, with the overall goal of ensuring consistent flow of employment opportunities for job seekers which will ideally lead to ongoing and sustainable employment for job seekers.
The Employer Engagement Consultant actively engages with employers to promote the SSI brand and services, to offer employment solutions to employers, and to create a pipeline of employment opportunities suitable for work ready job seekers. You will work with the broader Employment Services teams to ensure that employment opportunities and vacancies are communicated effectively to team leaders, consultants, facilitators, and job seekers at site level so that vacancies are filled successfully and that job seekers are being placed into suitable employment opportunities within suitable timeframes for both job seekers and employers.
About You
You are a great communicator and enjoy working as part of a collaborative, solutions focused team. You are well versed in building relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your passion will lie in wanting to work for purpose and make a genuine difference to the community. You will be someone who thrives in a fast – paced complex environment and will enjoy creating solutions and adding value. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact and be regarded as a key contributor for SSI.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV or above in Business, Marketing or other similar qualification, desirable or be willing to work towards
- Good working knowledge of local, state and national labour markets
- Strong connections with employers, industry and community
- Proven business development, sales or marketing ability including excellent communication skills, high level negotiation skills, and persuasive ability
- Strong account management and relationship management skills
- Strong ethics, accountability, and integrity
- Experience working in the Employment Services sector and an understanding of working with long term unemployed job seekers is DESIRABLE
- Experience working in recruitment, sales or marketing is DESIRABLE
