Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Employer Relations team within the Careers & Student Life department at Imperial College Business School.
The Employer Relations Manager position is a fast paced and varied role that focuses on increasing the opportunities for employment for the School’s 2,500+ students, at both the graduate and ‘experienced hire’ level. Building and developing first-class relationships with a large number of employers from across the Consulting and Professional Services sector (eg the ‘Big 4’, top Strategy Consulting organisations, Economic Consulting firms and other Institutions), this role oversees in person and online events, promoting these to our BSc, MSc and MBA students. This role also supports promoting opportunities for the career progression of 30,000 alumni.
Duties and responsibilities
You will work closely with the global Employer Relations team, Careers & Student Life department and wider Business School to deliver first-class employer relations. With a focus on building relationships with employers, promoting the Business School to them, understanding their needs and helping them recruit effectively with a focus in one of the core sectors and industries that our students aspire to work in.
You will promote job opportunities, source projects and deliver sector focused employer led events including recruitment presentations, skill sessions, networking events and career fairs. In this exciting role, you will work closely with the Alumni Relations team to build relationships and drive engagement with alumni and to increase the promotion of global job opportunities to students.
Essential requirements
You will have prior experience in managing events and developing new client relationships. This opportunity will suit an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Experience of graduate and ‘experience hire’ recruitment, a higher education Careers Service in a Business School, or working within the Consulting and Professional Services sector would be advantageous.
