Job Overview/Summary: The Employment Services Case Aide assists the Employment program with providing a variety of employment services in a trauma-informed manner to qualifying refugees and other migrants with the goal of guiding them to economic self-sufficiency.
Major Responsibilities:
- Support employment specialists by completing a variety of employment services in a timely manner
- Lead the scheduling, teaching, and curriculum development of Job Readiness Training for all active employment clients
- Complete initial client resumes to prepare client and employment specialist for employment search
- Guide the client through public transportation orientations
- Conduct mock interviews with clients to prepare them for initial job placement
- Assist clients with accessing state documentation and benefits, such as but not limited to Texas State ID’s
- Collaborate with employment specialists, IRC staff, and outside organizations in the service area to ensure wholistic client services
- Detail client interactions and services provided through case notes and file documentation in accordance with program requirements. Input client information in databases and assist with tracking and reporting as needed.
- Provide interpretation services, when applicable
- Use personal, insured vehicle to travel and transport clients and materials to required appointments throughout the service area
- Take on additional tasks as needed
Working Environment: Combination of standard office work environment and remote work.
