Your Role
- Support the delivery of Vinnies’ program which aims to provide employment pathways for refugees and humanitarian entrants in South West and Greater Western Sydney

This maximum term, full-time role based in Auburn will support the implementation of the objectives of the Economic Pathways to Refugee Integration (EPRI) program in South West Sydney. Your role will involve engaging with participants and coordinating their training, work experience and skills development as well as connecting them with employment opportunities. You will also support the community engagement activities as directed by the program manager and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibility
- Support the promotion and marketing of the objectives of the EPRI program by networking with registered training organisations, service providers and refugee communities.
- Assist with the delivery of the program, focusing on generating positive outcomes for refugees and humanitarian entrants in South West and Greater Western Sydney.
- To enrol and engage with participants to take part in the EPRI program.
- Engage with key stakeholders by coordinating various activities related to skills development and employment.
- Mentor participants to develop work preparedness i.e. job seeking skills including resume writing, interview techniques.
- Record and collect data in line with reporting obligations, in particular for the Data Exchange System.
You Will Need
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or experience in program management, community development or equivalent / associated discipline related to the role.
- Understanding of the barriers and experiences of Refugee and Humanitarian entrants.
- Knowledge of the employment training sector and transition pathways.
- Ability to support individuals to develop their skills and achieve their employment goals in line with EPRI program objectives.
- Proven ability to show cultural sensitivity when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate and detailed records.
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed knowledge and skills in using MS Office Suite, in particular Excel.
