As an Employment Coach you will actively engage with participants to identify the skills and potential barriers to employment, working with individuals to achieve their employment goals. SYC delivers employment services at over 50 locations throughout Australia, however, for this role, you will be based in Lilydale, Victoria.
In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive and result driven team who are dedicated to our vision of well-being, independence and opportunity for everyone. Day- to-day activities will include:
- Working collaboratively to build positive relationships with employers and participants
- Actively promote and market participants to potential employers helping to create employment opportunities
- Achieving sustainable employment outcomes for participants by providing support to develop skills and abilities
- Referring participants through training, counselling and other services to increase long term employment outcomes
About You
As someone who enjoys working autonomously within a broader team environment, you will be passionate about developing relationships with employers, relevant stakeholders, and participants to achieve success in their employment journey! You will be outcomes focused and enjoy the challenge of meeting targets and deadlines. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal, and written skills, and the ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations.
- Self-motivation and initiative, with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks and priorities.
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems
For this role, you will need to:
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Have a valid and current Drivers License
- Be eligible to work in Australia
