FEANTSA, the European Federation of National Organisations Working with the Homeless, is recruiting a full-time Energy poverty Policy Assistant to support the area of energy poverty in FEANTSA. The internship is expected to start in mid-September 2024 and will last until the end of December 2024, with the potential for promotion to Junior Policy Officer, subject to further confirmation. Interviews will take place in midAugust.

The selected candidate will be offered a CIP contract (“convention d’immersion professionelle”) and is expected to be based in Brussels. The Energy Poverty Policy Assistant will support the work of FEANTSA’s Energy Poverty Policy Officer, focusing on the socially fair implementation of EU energy transition policies. This work includes EU-level advocacy and cooperation with national-level social services providers on implementing policies. Some examples of relevant policy areas are the Social Climate Fund/ETS, funding of renovation of the worst-performing stock and the buildings of homeless services providers, heat transition of vulnerable groups, such as low-income households living in unfit housing stock, and heating with solid fuels.
