Job Purpose
The intern will be working in close coordination with the project team, as well as various partners and beneficiaries with the aim of supporting the project in background analysis and research related to renewable energy and energy efficiency systems for different types of facilities. Such systems are related to solar PV, solar thermal, biogas and various energy efficiency for industrial applications.
The energy research assistant intern will assist with activities focused on innovation in the energy sector and support the different stages of projects implementation including studies, assessments, and research on policies and programs that promote sustainable energy.
This will include following up on projects, database and website management, communication material, surveys follow up, workshop and webinar management.
The energy research assistant intern will be reporting to the project team (project engineer and project manager) in deliverables in the form of draft and final.

Education:
Applicants to the UNDP internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
(a) Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher) in Renewable Energy or related fields;
(b) Have recently graduated with a university degree (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
