The Engagement and Events Coordinator will work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, facilitate and implement the Orygen Exchange Program for supporting global visitors and to coordinate the calendar of key events in an effective and efficient way.
Reporting to the Chief, Strategy, Policy and Communications, you will:

  • Plan and successfully deliver key outward facing events and visits from key national and international stakeholders, including coordination of logistical requirements such as event briefings and venue management.
  • Plan, organise, manage, and evaluate a variety of engagement activities and events including the Orygen Exchange Program.
  • Foster engagement with the thought leaders, sector leads and key stakeholders through planning and delivery of a comprehensive engagement and events strategy and relevant systems, processes, and tools.
  • Operate with autonomy and accountability in delivering on strategic directions.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in fields related to public relations, event management or similar.
  • Five or more years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in delivering high quality events including conferences with a stakeholder focus, most likely in a membership organisation, association, government, not-for-profit or social enterprise context.
  • A highly collaborative working style, able to work cross-functionally.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) position for 12 months.
