Four years ago, we at Dutch investigative outlet Follow the Money started publishing articles on our English-language website ftm.eu. Since then, we’ve been publishing hard-hitting investigations every week.
Now, we want to take ftm.eu to the next level – and we are looking for someone to help us grow our audience and increase the impact of our journalism.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll help us grow our audience with creative ideas for social media platforms where we are already active, as well as beyond.
You’ll be responsible for distributing the articles we publish on ftm.eu. You edit and send out our newsletters. You’ll make our stories stand out on various channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, and BlueSky.
You’ll work closely with our editorial team in Amsterdam and Brussels. The working language within our international team is (mainly) English.
Together with our Dutch social media and newsletter editors, you’ll be responsible for the distribution of our major international investigations. This includes drawing up a plan for distribution via social media, email, press releases, and push notifications. You’ll make sure that editors, photo editors, and others deliver their work on time.
You’ll keep track of our social statistics and suggest improvements based on that data.
You’ll be in charge of the homepage. In close collaboration with the editorial team, you’ll decide what stories to highlight and how to best present them to our audience.
