About the Role
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students and contribute to the smooth operation of our university? As an Enrolment Adviser, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality enrolment services to students and colleagues, ensuring they receive the support they need promptly. You’ll dive deep into a wide array of university activities, services, and courses, while also mastering the interpretation and application of policies and guidelines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering precise, prompt, and culturally sensitive support and guidance to diverse students, alumni, and colleagues. Handling referrals with specialised or delicate needs efficiently and effectively.
- Assessing students’ academic and enrolment status, including meeting enrolment criteria, student visa compliance, course progression, and academic requirements.
- Conducting thorough study plan audits to verify that students’ academic plans align precisely with the curriculum and comply with guidelines.
- Acting as the team’s representative and main point of contact for various activities and services, such as participation in working groups and best practice forums.

You will also have:
- Bachelor’s degree, advanced diploma with minimum 1 year relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
- Proven adaptability and enthusiasm for providing diverse services, coupled with a keen interest in mastering underlying systems, policies, and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills, adept at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and adapting to evolving service standards, policies, and processes.
- Proficient in utilising large integrated databases and standard software like Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with a rapid ability to learn and master new systems.

Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
The Enrolment Advisers are part of Student Enrolment, one of the many teams based at Stop 1 (‘connecting students and services’). Student Enrolment comprises two sub-teams that together are responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality services to students and stakeholders across the University in the areas of enrolment and enrolment compliance.
